Margie Wright was the real deal. She is from a little town south of Decatur, IL. and I played against her as a teenager. We went to ISU at the same time and she was pretty much a workaholic. Some of that should have rubbed off on me. I coached against her, when she was a small Christian college. (She does not know me, but she will always answer an e-mail.)

Sadly I actually used to own some VHS pitching tapes from when my DD was learning to pitch.
I've since given them away.

My daughter is a freshman pitcher at Illinois State. The pitching coach left in August to take a job outside softball. Guess who filled the void at her alma mater until a new pitching coach was hired? Margie Freaking Wright! ISU then landed Tara Glasco Archibald as the new pitching coach, a huge get. Margie is still staying around through the fall season, and my DD gets individual work with Margie several times a week. In a short period of time Margie has made a huge difference for my daughter’s confidence and it is showing up in the circle. I hope the girls understand they have a true legend and pioneer in their midst. How lucky are they? Wow.

Please keep us posted on you DD's progress in the "How are the college freshmen doing" thread. 3 posts in 3 years? Are you pacing yourself? LOL

Haha, I know, but I’ve just tried to lurk and read all I possibly could; learned so much reading BM, Pauly, Java among many others. Love this site.
