Is this recent?

Sadly enough BM I would have been all in on this 3 years ago. But thanks to my self-education and sites such as this I now know better. This GUY NEEDS TO BE STOPPED!

This guy needs to open up his mind and return to being a student of the game.

No Different than any other "expert" opinion video or lesson ive seen or been to. never take it as Gospel. but even this video has a couple of decent suggestions. When you are more interested in bashing than being a student of pitching you've quit getting better and learning. There is always the chance there might be some babies in the bathwater.

I agree with you in general, but this one seemed pretty chock full O myths. What kind of babies did you seen in the bathwater? I skimmed through it so I want to know if it is worth a closer glance.

Just SCARY...his #1 drill is isolated wrist snaps...wants to eliminate any bend in the throwing arm during the arm circle...elbow away from the body at release...hello elbow finish...

Have any of these "experts" actually watched any video of how high-level pitchers actually pitch? Someone needs to educate these guys a little bit and send them a link to Amanda Scarborough's super slo-mo video so they can compare and contrast what he is teaching vs. what actually happens.

Its not bashing its the truth. What's worse us bashing or him selling a lotta bad info to young girls that only wanna work hard and get better. Guess what. I could teach HE but I don't...guess what I could teach IR but I don't because Right now I'm not worthy. Why is it that I know this? I have never played softball and I studied the art of underhand pitching for one reason only. Why can't he? Is he charging for his lessons? Maybe he thinks he's doing the right thing? I don't mean he should be bashed. I just mean he needs to educate himself and look at how big girls do it. That's what this bucket dad did.

I agree the whole locked arm thing, wrist snap drill and the dreaded hello elbow thing is very unfortunate.Although if you go to 10 college pitching clinics about half of them will be teaching just that.I like most on this board chose the IR method and have never considered hello elbow cause it just makes no sense to me on many levels. I've just learned to keep my mouth shut around Hello elbow coaches and let my students ability do the talking.
As far as the Babies,
For the beginner he stressed allot about balance and not leaning, Driving thru the Power line, Thats pretty good beginner stuff. not news to most of us on this board but still allot of pitchers out there at all levels with these issues whether they are hello elbow or IR.

Baby #1 He called it a Kick drill, I call it the blocking drill, this is the one where she pushes back on her stride foot .great drill when learning the rise ball and getting a feel for planting and getting explosiveness using the front side.Ive even done this drill while pulling on the pitcher from the front with stretch bands connected to a belt.If you got a leaner, this is a great way to break the habit and gets them to really feel the power they get from using their legs.

Baby #2 Something I do allot and don't see allot of people talk about is I really like doing the IR,Spin,Whip drills on one knee.I even do heavy ball work(the plastic ball full of water) on one knee. For younger girls I think it really helps them get the feeling of whip while keeping them open without a whole lot to think about other than the whip and spin.great tool/drill IMHO.

Thats about it.Oh ya,I forgot, don't stand behind the pitcher, spill Tims Coffe or run into his car!!LOL
