I know you're asking BoardMember for comments--but, wow, is she smooth. How old is she?

She needs to straighten her left leg. She needs to be encouraged to throw the ball as hard as she can.

No I was asking everyone. Thanks for the insight. I agree. What do you suggest to do to get her there? I have my own opinion but am anxious to hear yours. She is 17.

I see her back foot dragging on her instep, slowing her forward drive down, suggest you get her away from that deep drag..... on of the things I teach and demo is, hold your pitchers shirt and have her go thru her pitching motion (RESISTANCE), it demonstartes to her that the more drag, the slower her forward momentum, the slower her pitch.
** REASON the rules require one foot must stay in contact with the ground is to NOT give an unfair advantage, so if a pitcher LEAPS, she has an UNFAIR advantage, sooooooo, IF the pitcher's toe ever so slightly touches the ground because the rules say contact, then she has more forward power, thus her pitch is much harder.... at least 3-4 MPH........
- show her leap, no resistance, THEN tame her back to a SLIGHT toe drag......
(yup - I expect some discussion for speed coming from arm whip from the top-down / wrist, but again, if thats all that helps speed, we'd never work the legs.)

Her backside is collapsing. I would try shortening her stride temporarily to fix. Needs to think 'getting tall'.

This kid has a tremendous drop ball. As good as any I have seen around my area. She is big, strong and is smooth. Her back leg does dip and she loses that last bit of explosion that would add a couple of miles per hour that gets her closer to 60mph.

Coach,

She casually leans into her motion rather than exploding. I would have her increase her intensity in the initial drive. I know that can be difficult pitching indoors on on a flat surface.
She looks very good, good job to you.
