Can't take away much from this video but I'll take a shot at why she doesn't look like she uses I/R. She is predominately a screwball pitcher so a majority of the pitches you will see her throw will have "hitch hiker" release action.....a forced motion that is just the opposite of I/R. If you can post a clip of her throwing a curve or drop out to a RHH I am guessing she will use I/R.
Anyone have a clip of that to post?

Left Hook, I'm afraid you have walked right into this one.....if I am not mistaken, Jenny Finch teaches HE at her clinics but we all know that she utilizes IR. My guess would be is that the girl in this video does to. Perhaps someone could put it in slo mo a little easier than i can. Be careful of the instructional pitching videos you see on you tube. I have noticed a lot of elite pitchers dont practice what they preach.....

The hello elbow is a trained response that happens after the natural follow through. ALL pitchers follow through naturally if you view the pitch in super slow motion (this is from Mike White, he had video to prove it, though I can't find it online). This is why the actual act of performing a hello elbow isn't exactly bad. Meaningless, but not bad.

The problem becomes when pitchers are TAUGHT follow through (such as the hello elbow), because they will then take a motion that causes them to end up in this position on purpose.

Most good pitchers are good in SPITE of their instruction, not because of it.

What is it they call it... The "Hanson Principle"? Not just the follow through in this one... she's got her hand on top of the ball at 10:00 in the demo where she references the "Power Position". Without picking this persons brain a bit.. you wouldn't know if she's explaining what she "Thinks" she does... or if she's teaching something that young pitchers might get at a very young age to be able to "Just Throw Strikes"

I'm sure a lot of hitters "Thought" they squished the bug...so they taught it that way, but in reality they did not.

I noticed that at the 44 sec. mark she has a relaxed arm and elbow. Then, she "corrected" herself, to what she wanted to teach.

Did you not see the HE elbo finish? Or the way she has her arm completely straight? Maybe im wrong but her arm sure looks straight in some other videos i have seen of her. But yes it is tough to tell for sure...she throws so many screw balls and leans towrd third base a lot in her delivery.
