Watching Fico a few days ago, I noticed a thumb-off pitch that was labelled a rise. Thought I saw more of a curve spin, but I don't have HD and couldn't tell for sure. Did anyone else see it?

Change up...ball is in palm, circle grip without the thumb.

I don't know about that? The index finger seem to bent to much for the ball to be in the palm, almost looks as if when she releases the ball she will flick her index finger across the seam to get back spin.

All back/curve spin and no speed, too much hand, on the ball, for a rise ball, or should we say a high fastball.

Too much hand on the ball to call it a high fastball. No speed with that grip. It's a 2 seam back/curve spin change up.
Same as circle grip with out the thumb. Index finger is bent, but it has to be a change up grip.
