Fastball Grips and different results?

Had a students dad show up with a shiner on his left eye. Asked what happened and he said "That GD knuckleball you taught her. Damn thing floated and then jumped up and to the left. I hate that thing!"

Strongly urge a masdkl especcially if you are outside. This one can hurt ya!

Yep, that's the grip that is producing the drop with no change to her FB mechanics. Is that typical?

This is the two-seam grip she uses as opposed to the first image you posted. The ball breaks outside on a RH batter. From what I've heard from others this is the expected result.

No idea from me, but looking forward to playing around with it.

Only time I ever got hit in the face was with my DD's knuckleball, broke my sunglasses cut me under the eye and gave me a shiner to boot.

Ken, who does your nails?......

Suzette. She does pretty good work, but DD's and I are considering finding a new one. Her philosophy is to use progressions, so we only get a few fingers done per appointment. She says if one tries to do too much too fast, one can lose focus and quality. She also uses external rotation massage motions, which make me cringe. We're partial to upward brush strokes--towards the cuticle, but she insists on pulling towards the fingertips. She has an old school grip. I think she needs to use a three fingered grip on the brush. Youtube video of high level Pedicurists will back me up on this. Wives tales never die. We're going to print off a bunch of stuff from the internet and set it on the counter when she's not looking. Maybe she'll figure things out and we can keep her. The next nearest is over an hour away. If all else fails, we're starting to think we can figure it all out from all the youtube videos we're been watching. Time will tell.
