Redwhite, it's almost time to change your screen name again, isn't it? Was it last month, or the month before, that you changed your name multiple times to tell the world how wonderful Mr Tincher is and is the best coach on the planet. And, for all I know... he IS the best pc in the world. So consider yourself lucky.

I don't think the majority here have an agenda. I don't think this is a marketplace as you called it. Most of us feel the Hillhouse videos are the best ones on the market and explain pitching very well. That's why they are endorsed by so many people on here and in the world of softball. For the newbies that come on here (legit newbies not people making up names to promote their coach) they get steered in that direction for videos and to BM's I/R thread.

And as for Ms. Tincher having all those records, that's wonderful. Congrats to go HER for that success. Thank you for educating me. Makes you wonder why she wasn't on the US National team, huh? And for the record, while I didn't know all of her accomplishments that you mentioned, I do believe she SHOULD have been on USA. I think she was better than Finch but as someone once told me, Finch was on the team for other rea$on$.

You seem to have an issue with Hillhouse for some reason. But if you're going try putting him down in an attempt to make Mr Tincher look so great, please have your facts in order. I have never heard him every promote "wrist snappin and glove slappin and killin girls' speed...and tearing shoulders apart with upper body MALE tension". Actually, quite the contrary. Of course, it's not as much fun to get things like that right.

The reason a lot of people tell others about Hillhouse is because HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING! A lot of folks dont have the money or the opportunity to take their DD to a high quality PC. He has developed very good videos for those to utilize and train thier DD with. I pitched for 12 years with the USAF and am currently taking my dd to Hillhouse and the guy is a very good instructor and has helped her a bunch.
Are there a lot of people stalkin around in here like Curious George? Hatin on new posters? I'd be curious to know how many people post and never come back due to folks like that. Maybe change the name of the forum to CuriousGeorge'sNarrowMindedViewsAndUnwillingnessToReallyDiscussAnything.com? TINCHER IS THE BEST, AND THE MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE. But sorry, CG, he doesn't sell videos like others in here. Every pitching discussion in here has somebody pushing Hillhouse vids. Is this a marketplace or a place for discussion?

Can you even throw a ball correctly underhand or do you just know everything and go around and slam folks for doing the best they can to help their DD's succeed?

Never, not once has Bill Hillhouse ever taught wrist snaps, glove slap or any other of the crap redwhite&blue has said, to my dd. It is fine to like Denny Tincher, R,W&B, I'm happy that you like him, but when you start running your mouth about what another PC teaches and it is not true, then you have crossed the line. I have read Tinchers web-site and seen what he teaches, almost the samething other then Denny's pitcher seem to use a fiqure four style from what I can see in the video's.

You are not being run off this site, glad to have you, but don't lie about other PC coaches. I'm sure that Tincher would not care for it and I think I'm going to contact him about this, just maybe he will remind his clients, that bad mouthing other PC is not in his best interest. By the way Bill Hillhouse has never bad mouthed other PCs when I have spent time with him. We talked about what other's teach, but he didn't anything to put them down, to me.

rw&b, cg pd and nano are right to come to the defense of Hillhouse. Bill has helped many of us in numerous ways... DVDs, lessons, FastpitchTV, YouTube, and his DFP posts. He is a valued member of this site who posts, responds to questions, offers advice, and PMs when asked for help. If you have a question about his pitching style, ask him here and he will respond to you. I am sure Denny Tincher has a lot to offer. Tell him to open a DFP account and join the community. Many of us would like to pick his brain as well.

BTW, if you have something to debate regarding pitching... bring it. Some of the best material on here is the result of a difference of opinion... but you had better bring your examples backing your view.

I'm new, but glad to hear that their are some Tincher fans in here! No issues with Hillhouse at all. I respectfully listen to what everyone teaches, and I studied him myself -- and I know that he doesn't promote the things I mentioned. I'm referring to the masses and the major flaws that we see everyday. Just today I talked with Mike White of Oregon and Beth Torina of LSU. All interesting people with strong points of view. I'm just sayin that Tincher has been the most dynamic instructor I've come across and makes the most sense. But even he says on his own site that he never says other teachers are "wrong". He's in a constant mode of exploring better ways to transfer even more energy with more fluidity. To each his own. You say Hillhouse, I say Tincher;)

Nobody is born an instructor. You are born a student of the game. At some point you feel you have amassed enough knowledge as a player and observer and you feel you have something to offer younger 'Students of the game', you become a teacher of the game, an instructor.

It's at that point in time that you find out that you are as dumb as a box-of-rocks when it comes to teaching all that knowledge you have amassed. You are now a student of instructing, you are a rookie all over again!

An instructor is a proverbial student and you will learn the most FROM your students when it comes to teaching the game.

If an instructor ever thinks they know everything and stops learning, then they have become closed minded and will surely be behind the times in EVERYTHING.

I am new to this site, but I can tell you that you have come to the right place for advice on getting started. Look at my post on "what pitches should my daughter throw". Make sure to take the advice on the pitching coach that they are giving you. It will make all the differnce. I am having to slow things down and back up with my DD and make some necessary corrections. When you are looking for a coach make sure to ask questions about their typical progression for students and see does it match the advice you are getting here. If it doesn't, I would look elsewhere.

One game? Haha. Not so knowledgeable on the subject of pitchin. NCAA player of the year and 3rd all time in strikeouts despite missing most of her freshman year--otherwise, probably tops all time. If you're really curious, you'll go hear him speak. OR, just keep right on wrist snappin and glove slappin and killin girls' speed...and tearing shoulders apart with upper body MALE tension. He has dozens of students that he's just rehabbin alone.

Is your G key broken?
