A technique I read on here a while back from Hitter's crowd I believe. First she has to feel what keeping the shoulder in feels like. So stand across the plate in front of her. Extend your right arm over the plate and have her put her left hand on top of your right hand. Now, have her slowly swing a bat with her right hand through the hitting zone to finish. Make certain her hand stays on top of your hand the whole time. Where her lead shoulder is now is where it should be when she finishes her regular swing—even her most powerful swing. For a pitch down the middle.

Once she understands the feeling, the next thing I would have her do is take swings off of a tee and hold her pose (freeze) at the end of each swing. Feel the feeling, then repeat (tell her "check your pose"). Normal, fast swings.

You could actually have her hold onto something with her left hand while she swings one-handed with her right hand. Like a rope, or a long stick, rake handle maybe.

Also, no-lose drill, lots and lots of opposite-field hitting. Either long tee or front toss outside pitches. Did I say LOTS AND LOTS?
