No, you're wrong. There's another possible reason but it seems you are rarely wrong and never in doubt. :)

Sounds like you'd make somebody a great wife!

Just say something sarcastic and go pout in the bedroom? LOL. If you bail, you're afraid. If you're afraid, you're donating your money to some program instead of using it wisely for food or clothing or music lessons.

By the way, I just watched Michigan vs Notre Dame in an NCAA regional softball game. EVERY HITTER (with exception of two lefty slappers) employed a batting stance and style similar to the standard baseball stance and style: slightly closed stance; hands up and back; cock the bat (loading) as the ball is released; step and swing;

There wasn't a single flattened bat or any of those other odd behaviors invented by guys with too much time on their hands. Every hitter ATTACKED the ball. NO ONE bailed out of the box. No one moved their feet in the box as the ball was being delivered. No one moved back in the box or up in the box between pitches. No one was afraid.

Oh I'm all about the fp swing being the same as the MLB swing. I'm just saying I see some kids step in the bucket who aren't afraid of anything. Ergo, there is another possible reason for stepping the bucket. So while I like what you said in the above post, you are in error if you assume any kid who steps in the bucket is motivated by fear.

I have to agree her stepping in the bucket isn't motivated by fear. I believe it is in her head and mental though. To decide that you are not a hitter at 13 simply because your stepping out doesn't mean your not a good fit for the game. It means you need to practice hard and learn a technique that works. It looks like we are finding that technique. :D

place a bat or board behind her foot and towards the pitchers mound and just have her step towards the mound. You can do this any where.
