One problem I have noticed with a some girls taught rotational -style, is that they have been taught a step by step approach to hitting, with emphasis on getting the hips around to lead the way. They spin quickly, but in doing so may actually raise up on toes instead of driving into front leg. This is wasting momentum, taking body weight up instead of into the ball. How would you fix this?

I've been there

1) Make sure they know its wrong
2)show them they do it on video
3)show them excellent hitters don't on video
4)Make sure the have a nice weight transfer. One way is to make sure the front shoulder is a little lower at toe touch.
5)keep hands connected to hip rotation. They often hop when they try to lift the ball and will disconnect the arms from the hip.

Just a few thoughts. Watch the jumpy swing and compare to the above thoughts and see if you see any of the signs.
