No kid or parent i work with is going to understand 1 and 2 plane golf swings and how that relates to the mlb pattern.
They would have the look.


Think, there is a 12 year old kid in front of you and they want to be standing on base, with a big smile on there face.
What information can you pass on to the parent and kid to help them hit the ball better and understand why.

You are certainly right that instruction needs to be simple.

This is the somewhat rare "simplicity on the other side of compexity" that is needed here where the instructor undertands the complexities of learning and executing the high level swing, but reduces this to simple/effective teaching.

Perhaps even rarer is teaching others what happens in the high level swing (S) and how to teach it.

Perhaps even rarer is teaching someone what happens in the high level swing and how to teach it when the person being taught has never executed a high level pattern swing themself.

As a parent, I would look for a good instructor who teaches the high level pattern that is best for your kid and who swings that way themself.

This might be a single plane type pattern or an MLB pattern.

It depends.

The experience in golf seems compelling to me.

Pick your pattern, don't mix.
