It's just a coordination thing. let the center of gravity dictate where the feet go.

A more glaring issue is the weight shift happening at the "end" of the stride. She loads and strides and "then" shifts the hips/weight forward.

Can you elaborate more? If I told my DD that, she would be like, "WTF??"

If you develop the torso/spine as the engine, and the center of the body is part of that engine. Then the path the center travels dictates the path/direction of the feet.

Edit, the feet/legs do play a role in the direction of the body. They work together. It isn't just the feet/legs or the center, it's a combination.

Lefties seem to stride into the plate more then right handed hitters. And the clip of Griffey is with a left hand pitcher.

Have not posted in a while. Would like some feed back.https://youtu.be/n9GX7RSiyRM. She is a slapper, just trying to add power.

That is IMHO is a pretty good swing. There is a little bit of what some would call "all back /all forward. Could eliminate some of that sway into the rear leg. I would play around with wagging the barrel, looser grip and aggressively TTB and see if she can create more early bat speed (whip). TTB earlier. Put tee back farther and have her get behind the ball earlier.

Protein shakes and core conditioning! LOL

To the OP, I think the gif rdbass posted in the "tighten up" section above, shows some of what has been said. See how she reaches out with her front foot before she does any shifting at all? Then watch the gif of the mlb player. As I worked with the gent that taught me so much, we came up with the cue that the front leg is just along for the ride vs pulling the player along. Her center of mass is still way behind while her front foot stretches out.
