So I know falling forward is OK after the swing but my daughter doesn't seem to keep good balance after swing. She has had a good hitting coach help her, the rest of her swing is good and she is crushing the ball. Just don't know how to get her to keep those feet planted. Longer stride? Sge is 11

Technically, what she does after the ball has left the bat doesn't matter. However the fact that she is off balance probably means there is a problem upstream. Without video it will be impossible to diagnose
any issues. Does the hitting coach have an issue with it?

We have a player right now that's doing this. She's been struggling with her hitting for quite awhile now and I can't help but think if she's that off-balance, she can't have a strong start. Plus she's missing the ball all the time. When our good hitters swing, hit or miss, they're not falling over after the swing.

the coach just says she is hitting well everything looks perfect. He does keep reminding her to keep her feet planted.

she has a strong swing and a very powerful hitter, the hitting coach says everything looks perfect. She doesnt miss ball often at all, all her hits are hard and up the middle. It is just after the swing her fit do not stay planted and i cant figure out a way to teach her that besides telling her to keep them planted. I dont want her to focus too much on that and screw up the good things she has going

she doesnt actually fall over, she just doesnt keep her feet planted in the same spot they are when she hits the ball

So Cal
Personally, I like girls to run hard to 1B (and hopefully farther) after they hit the ball. I thought that was the idea.

This was you a month ago:

My dd is 11 and has a lot of batting lessons and her form seems good. She has a lot of hard hits mostly grounder and low line drives. The problem a lot of time is she swings hard with power but it doesn't transfer to ball. Lots of hits seem weak with a lot of backspin. Not sure why she swings harder than the ball goes

So if she is now crushing the ball I wouldn't worry too much about her not keeping her feet "planted" after she swings....

I agree with the not messing too much with it idea - but I'm also curious as to what her feet are actually doing?

Rear foot coming up? Spinning around? "Scissor" finish?
