Help with hitting slow pitches

My 11yo daughter hits good when hitting fast pitches, but when thrown slow front toss she doesn't wait for the pitch and lunges for it or just misses. It's only with slow pitches

Learning how to stay back helped my DD tremendously with change-ups and slow pitches. She was all back and all forward previously which resulted in an automatic strike out on change-ups. Learning to resist with backside as is key IMO
