Well I believe TM has stated that Betts is 1-legged in terms of his definition...

Here is what I think,as long as you don't bleed your coil before you launch you are good
to go...you can call that whatever you want.

Very important advice IMO.. DD was bleeding majorly last year, this year she has been concentrating on this and you can really see a difference. Her swing has become much more sudden

That is what TM is getting at but he is saying you can only do that (e.g. not bleed your coil) with a front foot which has very little pressure on it.

Leverage off the backside? Or leverage as in swing flexion, a balanced position at foot plant?

I wouldn't say balanced 50/50.. One doesn't want the weight to transfer across the pelvis to the front leg but to maintain the rear leg/hip relationship.. I view the movement as a total body movement leveraging all available resources, with obliques heavily involved..
