HELP!!!! My daughter has played softball for years. I can't seem to get her to hit with any power at all. She is a good sized kid 5'6" weighing 140ish pounds but seems to rarely hit it to the outfield. Majority of the time its a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher. She's pretty fast and is an above average fielder, but hitting grounders in the infield doesn't get you playing time in high school. I've tried spending money on a personal hitting instructor but there was no improvement. Please evaluate her swing and give me some ideas. Anything you can share will be appreciated. If I could figure out a better way to post videos I would

Yeah I didn't think about that. It's slow pitch season for school ball so we were out practicing for that. I'll look to see if I have anything. If I can't find it then I'll record her again on the next warm day here

Swinging around her body, no "short to" and "out from". She is really dropping the barrel behind her body. I think 5frames has a gif that explains this action.

This is a good example if the hitter throws her hands at the ball everything does not fall into place. I would have her throwing bats as far as she can with spin. Maybe she would naturally incorporate some of her torso muscle and launch the bat. Make sure she grips the knob in the palm of her bottom hand. I just relooked at gifs. Is she playing slowpitch?

There are certainly some mechanical issues limiting things, but one of the big items I see missing is VIOLENCE! There needs to be an intent to hit the ball hard.
