Tough guys over the internet.. WOW! I like you both, but this a little ridiculous and immature. I received a lot of good information from both of you over the years, time to kiss and make up, and get back to answering my questions in other threads :)

It really was a simple question ....

Are you suggesting that there is a "spring" between the front-shoulder and rear-hip? If so, please explain how you exploit this "spring action".

Hey I'm no angel, just calling it as I see it. I interested in the answer to your question as well, and if I seen it earlier, probably would of asked the same thing. But I think there's no need for the "see you on the playground after school" BS. OP wants help, you guys have the knowledge. Let's move on, great discussion.

The hands shouldn't collapse into the body. The hands should remain back and TTB immediately.

As already mentioned she over does the front shoulder coming down and in and hiding the hands. To much back arm action and pointing the barrel to far forward. There should be a shortening of the spring (front shoulder down and in toward the back hip) and hiding the hands (back shoulder away from front hip, lengthening action). There is a spring action, just not like your thinking.

pay sttention to the "and" hiding the hands (back shoulder away from the front hip, lengthening action).

That response was for Julray.

You asked Julray to pay attention to the "and" ....

pay sttention to the "and" hiding the hands (back shoulder away from the front hip, lengthening action).

So let's play your game and pay attention to the "and" ....

The word 'and' is being used to combine two actions.

One action is .... "There should be a shortening of the spring (front shoulder down and in toward the back hip)".

So the question is, are you suggesting that there is a "spring" between the front-shoulder and rear-hip?

Do you prefer folks were allusive?

Honestly, what I'd prefer is for folks to think about how often these arguments have ever added any value to the thread for the original poster (I'm sure there is value added for whoever "wins"). I very rarely see an OP end up with anything but more questions than they had to begin with, and no idea about what any of the instructors here actually think they should do next. I see a lot more "being right" here than I see actual results.

Edit: I should add, I have NO doubt that you and several others here could help me and my DD tremendously. Unfortunately, I can't make heads or tails out of what any of you ACTUALLY teach most of the time, because everything devolves into this kind of stuff.

The original poster is one individual .... there are many more individuals in search of information.

I hear you about message boards having varying focus. There is a fair amount of noise relative to useful information. Such is the nature of the beast.

Should Shawn ever articulate his notion of a "front-shoulder to rear-hip spring", and supply supporting evidence, then we all 'win'. I wouldn't hold your breath on that though.
