I can't believe you are able to post those together like that. I am obviously not computer savvy enough to accomplish that feat. Thank you for that. Her feedback to me is that she feels she is hitting the ball better during "indoor" batting practice. I have't seen anything yet as they are on spring break and games have been rained out lately. My amateur eye sees a lot of similarities between the two....am I right or are you trying to point out a particular difference?

Again I appreciate all advice given on this thread. I am trying to incorporate swing mechanics that I see from the good hitters as recommended by several. While I see the slow pitch swing is different it "appears" to incorporate several of the same mechanical features. I would like to see a breakdown of similarities/differences as suggested by pattar.

I’ve coached Slowpitch before and the only thing we did was the feet together stride and hit drill. We stand all the way in the back of the box and slowly stride and stretch hands as the ball comes down. I do have some hitters that prefer the pitchers knee lift drill for hitting slow pitch. This way they are getting feel same rhythm and tempo of the Fastpitch swing during slow pitch. The key is teaching the hands to stay stretched as long as possible into swing launch. Many will want to drop hands to get on plane with a slow pitch and that’s a no no. Majority of pitches they will see are gonna be high and deep. We try to take those. We look for a pitch that comes down in front of us below the front shoulder

For starters watch the difference between the shoulder being turned inward. She is turning the shoulder to far back, while he turns the front shoulder down and in just right. She is wrapping the barrel.

What do you mean "wrapping the barrel"?

She gets the barrel behind her body. It's not free to drop into the merry-go-around or "out from". The hands come into the body instead of TTB (turning the barrel).

Keep asking questions, we all learn from questions.

Spoke of making a significant positive improvement during 30-min of training.

Instructor described it as being the result of … “All from working on Brett’s connection drill, getting the lead-arm back, and getting the body angle set” .... “You’re also getting a great rotation … it’s a tighter rotation because your body angle is back.”

Hitter’s perspective … “It feels like to me that I’m swinging straight up.”

We’ve seen that ‘feel’ posted before.
