Any advice on stuff to work on would be greatly appreciated.

No attack angle with the posture. I recently purchased some of the Catapult loading system. He just had a different way of describing the attack posture at the launch position. The shoulders should be at a downward position at the launch position. He (catapult loading) talks about the front shoulder moving down and in resulting in a downward angle.

I'll be back with picture.

Do you have any video of her hitting front toss?

I feel that she has a lot of counter rotation in this swing that may not be there with a ball that was thrown to her.

Unfortunately no. I can grab some next time we're out.

Here is the front shoulder and front side bend with the attack posture. The head remains over the front hip or very close.

I forgot to make line showing the downward shoulders angle at the launch position. Donaldson shoulders are tilted down, front shoulder lower then the back shoulder. The front side has a bend. front shoulder moves down towards the front hip.

Thanks Shawn! I'm assuming from your and DRDRODD's comments that she needs to coil the shoulders less and focus on more of a scap load with her lead shoulder angled down?

I don't think it's necessarily loading the shoulders to much. I think the posture is all out of wack. She is getting the upperbody/upper torso back over the back hip and the head over the back hip.

Perhaps the upper torso/thorax could be more stable for the arm/shoulders to load against. Instead of loading and leaning backwards. And like it's already been mentioned, often hitters counter rotate to much on a tee. However off live pitching/front toss they don't do the same exaggeration with the loading of the upperbody/shoulders.

In the picture I posted both hitters are at the launch position. The hands should be over the back foot and not behind the back foot at the launch position. The posture difference speaks for itself. I teach (a few kids) Donaldson/s posture. I think it is HL and what smaller hitters do to optimize the swing. Donaldson's frontside is correct, the front side is scrunched or has side flexion. The front shoulder is down and in with the shoulders angled downward at launch.

Any drills or cues to help with that front shoulder positioning? Thanks in advance.

Yes, try to bring the lead arm down (lead elbow) so it is hanging around the bottom of the chest like Donaldson. Don't start out with the lead arm up in the plane of the shoulders (elbow pointing toward the other batter box) like she is currently doing. It feels more natural to bring the front shoulder down and inside the front hip with the arm lowered.
