Just out of curiosity did she go to no stride based upon your suggestion or is she like my DD and just out of the blue decides she wants to change her style
seemingly just to keep her father on his toes

It actually started out of a practice session when I was trying to take her lower have out of the equation and focus a little on the upper half. She's been doing it like that in practice. The thing is, is that during a game situation she actually strides.

So in other words she actually listens to you...#cannotrelate ;)

I do think I understand, but if you have time later I would like to see more of what you re referring to.

I think of barrel depth as 12 - 6 bat speed. When looking at the following swings we need to think of them as 3 dimensional instead of 2 dimensional.

Imagine a clock face in this gif. 12 o'clock would be directly over Bryant's head. 6 o'clock would be below his waist. The clock face would be almost perpendicular to the ground. Bryant powers the barrel from 12 o'clock to 6 o'clock, and the clock is almost vertical (perpendicular to the ground) on a pitch down in the zone.

Now in this gif imagine that clock face tilting back diagonally. 12 o'clock is now behind the hitters' heads and 6 o'clock is now out in front of his body. The hitter powers the barrel from 12 o'clock to 6 o'clock but the clock face is now much more horizontal then the it was for the low pitch.

All 3 hitters power the barrel from 12 o'clock to 6 o'clock but it looks different due to the height of the pitch. Barrel depth is achieved in all of these swings. Barrel is always powered from 12-6, but the angle of the clock face varies.

To an extent and it depends on the day :p

Recently we have made some rules with each other concerning practice that we both shook hands on LOL!

Rule 1 - No asking how long the session is going to be. Reason being, she doesn't ask her coach that.
Rule 2 - The most important rule - No arguing or fighting from either one of us to each other. If that starts to happen, practice session is over for the day. We'll try again a different day.

Thanks for the explanation. Is what you are referring to like what the video below is referring to?

Not here.
Allan Craig.
You seem to be 'missing' the point of the gif:

Look at the pause.....
Here is the Allan Craig clip with some pauses thrown in. The first pause is the start of the "drill" see how the rear leg is already turning in and his upper is pulling back at that point. Start at the pause with those things happening. You should be able to launch at 50% effort (or something less than 100%) an essentially end at the second pause. Launch... from pause to pause. Apply the inward pressure and never let it go. Resist with everything above and never let it go.
Look at the rear leg:
