When reading the bold this strikes me as TWO moves. Torso-engine, then the hands need to react shortly after. IMO there isn't time for two moves.

Hands trigger and the rear leg is reactive. One move. The rearward torque of the barrel fires the whole system.

There are two independent engines.

The hands do not fire the whole system. The hands do not cause the torso to move as you see the torso being moved. The torso-engine and hand/forearm-engine are two independent engines.

And you have to fire each independently?

Are you saying you have three independent engines in your swing model ... the rear leg ... the torso ... the forearms/hands?

p.s.
That was a joke. ;)

 lol

I don’t know how long it takes for a ball to get from pitchers hand to homeplate (I’m sure you do!) but I can’t see how anything but one move is optimal.

I got some workouts now, I’ll be back tonight.

Good talk!

About 0.4secs.

More than ample time to "read the pitch" and fire two independent engines at reactionary speeds.
