Just a view of a leg kick and (loading?) barrel movement. I like the barrel movement from flat to vertical. There are hitters that have this movement from flat to 45 degrees. I always liked that barrel movement.

This is something that was added to my DD swing. After a while she tried to stop doing it which resulted in an all forward type of swing. The walking away from the hands was absent. Worked it back into her gather and she started walking away from the hands again . She actually goes from 45 to vertical.

Is the loading that you are pointing out the loading of the core/torso? That is what I see taking place.

5frames,

I don't think I would call it loading. I don't like the idea behind loading the upperbody. I would say the barrel/hands are moving in a different path then the swing itself, so there is an increase in elastic energy.

Here's another swing where the barrel is pointing toward the dugout and not forward. The barrel is also somewhat flat. Then the barrel is raised and pointed more toward the pitcher. There's a potential elastic energy created.

Here's another gif with the barrel starting pointing toward the dugout and low (not really low, but 45 degrees) and then the it is raised and pointed toward the pitcher.

So the path of the barrel travels through a different path then the forward swing potentially creating greater elastic energy.

Here's one of my favorite starting positions, hands slightly in front of the back shoulder and they move back slightly. The barrel starts flatter and pointing toward the dugout and then it is raised and pointed toward the pitcher.

This barrel movement creates good whip and early bat speed. I do a few "whip drills" with my players to feel this type of movement. Think Vladimir Guerero

Vlad walked away from the hands and slotted the rear elbow. He didn't do any magical movement early batspeed movement. He just created an arc from start to finish, or transferred energy throughout the swing.
