    Thoughts on his swing. More along the lines of what I was taught growing up. Just thinking.

    Very uncomplicated swing, reminds me a bit of beltran with a quite simple load with not much of a tip (pretty much starts with the bat in the shoulder plane)

    Dude is a stud! All his numbers trending up. Probably doesn't get barrel behind the ball as early as some might like and maybe even pushes his hands thru a little, but he is the real deal. He hit .286 and had 96 BBs (.394 OBP) and lets not forget 31 HRs. Contrary to popular belief, there is no perfect swing. There are swings that work. His works well.

    I downloaded the swing and looked at it. As for why he isn't a .300 hitter I think your right, the swing path looks to be a "V" path. I'll post his swing.

    As for the hand pushing, this is an inside pitch, so the hands can come forward a little more as compared to a middle/out pitch.

    High level. His swing literally weights his front foot. Love it
