Sagittal - left and right sides of body. Frontal- front and back. Transverse- top and bottom. Hope this helps.

I appreciate it. I guess I don't see the sagittal plane movement in the load. Or at least I have a hard time understanding that. I understand it to be a frontal plane movement because it's parallel with the frontal plane. As I also understand the torso rotation to be a transverse plane movement. I readily admit it may just be my failure to comprehend. Not trying to be argumentative and not directing any negativity towards you. Just a learning moment for me.

ETA: It may be that you're not referring to the plane of movement, rather making reference to location like your reply might indicate? If that's the case I think I might be understanding a little more.

You can see when he ‘fires’ right?

And more importantly you can see what fires...

I can see his lower body and hips and how he moves forward while remaining coiled into heel plant. .. just like the girl I posted and just like what i want to teach my DD. Please note title of this thread "Lower Body (no stride)". However, looks like he's firing his hips and hands

Ok fair enough. I see the front hip opening and the core stretching. Then the backside fire with Kemp. The young lady is firing her frontside. imo.

As well as staying back through the entire swing. She never gets off her backside. These are subtle things that make your swing adjustable or not adjustable. Of course imo. Balance is the biggest fundamental you can have when you hit. It keeps you ‘straight’. The young lady doesn’t have balance.

Funny thing is, that's one thing I love about her swing, I believe she does achieve that front hip opening and core stretching

There is a frame missing.. but she coils into heel plant where she then opens her front hip with a resisting back side... also, jmho.

She doesn't?

I feel she does, then again I've been wrong before.

Also, when you say she doesn't have balance, what do you mean?

Her front opens and fires. Her core does stretch so she can drag the bat through the zone. Don’t you see hips before hands? In the Kemp video, did you see this mechanic or did you see the back hip and hands fire?
