Hitting a ball high in the zone hand & barrel position?

From my perspective, video analysis of the best hitters in the game does not support this advice. Simply put, while the source of your information may be good, and the source may have a lot of good information, this particular information can't be confirmed to be correct ... it fails to pass the Hanson Principle.

Bustos was one of the best rise ball hitters in the game. I don't have a video, but Coach B at Arkansas teaches the same thing . FFS might be able to post one, but she hit one heck of a HR on a risesball that was posted on this site. She teaches you must always have the elbow and hands above the plan of the pitch. To hit a riseball you must start the elbow higher. The bat is never above the hands . I would love to see someone post a hitter that hit a HR with the bat above the hands! UA, might be successful, but how many HR riseballs have they hit? I bet few with this approach.

Here is Alabama's Charlotte Morgan. IMO her barrel isn't even close to being above her hands at 'contact'.

I invite anyone to display gifs of accomplished hitters with the barrel above the hands at 'contact'. Good luck finding such video clips.
