Now, I won't.....

Of course you won't because you have nothing to offer. You just like popping off.

We are missing many frames, so a analysis of this swing is a waste of time. I don't like what I see and will say so if I wish. I don't need anyone's approval. I definitely don't need RDbass's approval of why the swing stinks.

Now, I have to answer....

Hitter does neither...she slots her rear elbow to TTB. Kind of like you like, I think.

You can see and feel this hitter 'loading' up her rear elbow to begin her slotting/swing.^^^^^^^

Just because the tee is set up for a pitch down the middle. How do you know the hitter isn't set up for an outside pitch. There is no batters box.

The lower body 'get involved' as soon as the elbow TTB. The problems is the rear leg is pointed back towards the catcher. So, this hitter 'bleeds the corner' from the get go.

And that means what exactly......You can only see what YOU can see.
Aren't you glad I answered now.....Again JMHO.

Just in case you missed my answer to your 'guessing/I think'.
How's that for POPPING OFF....I JUST POPPED ON YOU....

If anything the slotting happens to late, not early. The elbow should be down more while she tries to TTB with the hands. Where we have frames doesn't do justice for what the hands are doing in the swing, in the missing frames I think we would see more of the hands trying to TTB.

Even if this is a drill and we don't care about the lowerbody not working the swing still stinks.

I think she is using the hands instead of the forearms to TTB. The hands take the barrel away from the body to soon. The lowerbody hips/torso don't get involved until after the hands have moved the barrel.

I don't aspect you to give an answer.

Bingo ... improper torso-engine (which for me includes the rear upper leg).

Let me suggest a modification to the swing description.

To initiate 'swing launch' the torso/hip-engine should be initiating a process akin to rotating up and out ... at this time the hands are not attempting to move forward, but are instead performing the 'short hands' action described in prior posts. This leads to the lead arm 'leveling' to the swing and can be considered the beginning of the TTB process.

Tough to judge a ‘drill’ swing. But the sequence is definitely off. The hands are turning the barrel first rearward with no core usage. My .02

Here’s a clip of a kid I worked with . She has a lot of ability. I just had to put her in sequence and educate her hands. This was after 2 lesssons. Not perfect . But this is what I’m after. No that’s not me tossing.

Like I said earlier, the hands are TTB and taking the barrel away from the body. She is losing the hinge angle because she taking the barrel away from the body with the hands.

There is no bat drag of any kind, because she is leading the sequence with the hands (hands ahead of the lowerbody/hips/torso)

Since the hands are being used to TTB, instead of the forearms, there really isn't a rotation point being set with the hands. Instead of a rotational point being set up, she is TTB with the hands. There is no engine to help the turn because she is using the hands instead of the forearms.
