Is it just me or is this over cooking turning the barrel? Do elite hitters actually turn the hands/barrel in this manner?

Girl is 'learning' to turn the barrel and NOT an ELITE hitter.

Not the same . Jones is 'turning the barrel' . Girl is all unload. There isn't a transition. A change of direction. A 'loading' of the barrel. Girl is just doing a hand path drill maybe. Hard to compare a game swing and a drill swing. Without context of the drill . Who knows what the girl is trying to feel.

If you are just saying the arm action is the same(turn the box). That's also incorrect. Look at the front elbow positions on both . But that's a different post altogether. Like I said can't compare tee/drill swing with a game swing .

But if I had to say. Jones creates his path for the bat with his hands. Girl creates a path for the bat with her body.

In the girls DRILL swing her rear leg is virtually non existent because the DRILL is isolating the barrel turn. Add in a turning rear leg and her DRILL swing looks much different is my bet.
