Not here.
It was about pushing the hands, lol. :p
You're saying this hitter is 'pushing the(his) hands'.

To funny....do you know this is another 'feel' drill and do you know who this hitter is?

Looks a lot like Barry Bonds.

I don't know the drill being performed, but I wonder if it may be the first portion of the two-step progression drill that Hosmer describes ...

Here Bryce Harper is performing a drill in which he literally takes the knob of the bat to a baseball being flipped. What benefit is he attempting to extract from this drill?

Five, I know you aren't saying both these hitters are practicing the same 'feel'. One hitter seems to be exactly practicing 'knob to the ball'. A biggggg PUSH.

He's possibly thinking "Swing down to create back spin". Honestly, I don't know what his thought process is here but that's just a piece of his progression drills. I do know that it's clips like these that have ruined hitting in America. "If Harper takes the knob to the ball, I'm gonna too!" "If Trout says he swings down, I'm gonna too!
"If Arod says he's swinging down to the ball, I'm gonna too! IT'S THEIR THOUGHT PROCESS! I've had this argument numerous times and I'm sure a lot of you folks have too. Dad comes up to me and asks, what do you think of this drill? I say Garbage. Why? So I'll pop up a clip of a swing on my phone of let's say Harper... then I'll ask "where do you see him swinging down?" My argument is done by then but since Harper does this drill dad goes off and does it anyway. I'm sure most is out of context here but maybe I'm just here to vent a bit🤣

I do what Harper is doing with a drastic change. I toss tennis balls up in the area of the shoulder while the hitter is in their stance. They have to hit the tennis ball with the knob. They can not push it away from the shoulder and down as Harper is doing. The reason I do the drill this way is that I want my hitters to point the knob and deliver the barrel. Typically, that knob travels about 2 inches and comes into connection with the shoulder complex when the drill is done correctly.
