Yeah, you're right and both hitters are using their hands too. One hitter is using them the correct way. Mainly the rear leg and his hands.

I see the 'hand action' as different. The rear leg isn't so different in terms of building a base/platform/post ... IMO.

I'll agree there but, once the front foot lands for the hitter on the right that's were it goes bad. The weight shifts to the front leg before the swing begins. Any merit to the external rotation of the thigh on the hitter on the left. Not saying that it's necessary but, say's where the weight is for one hitter.
One hitter gets over his rear leg the other hitter just gets into/against his rear leg.

We are almost on the same page with the 'bold' above. IMO it went bad even earlier. The lowering of his front leg took a lot of potential out of his swing.

Take a note that the hitter on the left (pro) has his front foot down before the barrel begins arcing ... he truly uses two legs ... as well as his entire core.

p.s.
Like your description of one hitter against his rear leg.

Both hitters are using both legs.
Yes, both are using both legs...but one is using one leg to carry his "rearward" weight forward and "into" his other leg....while the other is using one leg to pull his weight forward onto that same leg (using the other as simply a post to stand on momentarily until the hitter is pulled (or falls) off of it).

I'll let everyone decide on their own who's doing which, and where.

That is why I said he has an elite swing, because I first saw this swing about 18 years ago.
I wish there was something to 'learn' here(even though I thought so). It seems to be the same posters. I feel 'we' MAY BE 18 years to late. So, I'm tapping out.......

Unless You talked with both of them you're guessing on how they moved. We know that's how Happ, and Judge move because of what Rich taught them.

Neither of these hitters movements match Happ, or Judge.

Oh OK. I suppose I could also talk with Bonds, Pujols, and Mattingly on how they think they swing vs. what we actually see them do in their games swings as being something completely different.

Seems like an odd way of learning hitting, and pretty much negates the reason for having any video analysis of swings; but to each his own, and if that's how you need to go about things...coolomondo.
