So far part of the spine engine and fascia includes, a hunched posture (taking the curve out of the back), tilted shoulders at launch (front shoulder down, back up),, show the numbers,

There's more and I'll get back to you. Not a bad read, somethings I don't agree with, hunched posture with the curve of the lower back taken out.

Finished it. It appears he has several video programs on the net that go for $47 to $97. The book is fine, gets you thinking. Worth the money. I think the video series might explain it better then the book and that was intentional. He wants your money.

The book teaches a firm top hand grip with the bottom three fingers. These fingers grip the bat tightly. The bottom hand grips the bat loosely. It's the same grip Ted Williams suggests in his video. The grip connects the arms to the body and prevents bat drag. Eliminating the elbow beating the hands.

Shawn, this is not correct. It is the bottom-hand that grips the handle with the bottom three fingers, not the top-hand. The top-hand grips the bat with the two gripper fingers ... the middle finger and the ring finger.

Here is what Ted wrote in his book on the topic.

I recommend an extremely firm grip, the pressure applied by the fingers and not against the palms. The bottom hand holds the bat as you would a hammer or a golf club, the index finger slightly open.

If you can dig up the video segment that supports your assertion then that would be appreciated.

I'll check the video, but I'm pretty sure Ted said he had a firm grip with the top hand a loose grip with the bottom.

Ok Ted Williams doesn't say he has a tight grip, he demonstrates with making a sound while getting a deep grip with the top hand. He does say the bottom hand is a loose grip.
