Keep your weight back

I hit off my back foot. By that I mean that when I connect with the ball, my weight is on my back foot, not forward. I do that because it's the best method for hitting curves and off-speed pitches. If you step forward too soon, committing yourself before you can gauge the speed and location of the ball, you may end up having to lunge.

He's probably the same guy who thinks a casted bug squish is also preferable! Idiots like that make us average guys look amazing!!! LOL

Not here.
I'm interested in the timing involved to hit against the front leg
"My weight is my left (rear) foot, as I start swinging, my weight shifts to my right (lead) foot at the time of contact with the ball." - Babe Ruth
The swing is the shift. I would say the weight 'shifts' to the middle and not necessary to the front side/leg. Doesn't stay(weight) on the rear leg/side.

I knew there'd be a catch. :D Now someone has to post some of his gifs and prove he's like all the other MLB'ers that say one thing and do another. LOL
