Not here.
I did watch the hands - they don’t move until elbow slots

The hands are a pivot point from which the barrel turns/pivots from. The hands shouldn't be 'moving' forward first, if that's what you think.

What do you think 'slots' the elbow....the elbow.
also see Butters post above. https://www.discussfastpitch.com/softball-hitting-technical/33352-scap-load-5.html#post464139
I disagree totally with you. You can believe what you want to believe. It's OK.....

You are missing the point. The slotting elbow is an effect. The hands/wrists/forearms to the work.
The teaching point is turn the handle/barrel with the hands/wrists/forearms only. I tell them to rip the barrel off the neck without turning the shoulders. I say snap the barrel. Snap the handle. Snap it. Snap the bat. Use the hands. Snap it, etc etc etc.

I understand what you are saying, but thanks for elaborating. I just wanted to know what you tell your hitters when instructing, because I want my DD to concentrate on using her hands to turn the barrel from the neck slot instead of thinking about slotting the elbow. I understand the elbow will slot as a result. Thanks again.

Good stuff on current topic, TM Twitter recommend

'So now you're not moving any part of your arms. It's just vroom (hand pivot rearward) and your hip takes it'
