12 HR and counting now in 27 games. Will see if she can continue as the pitching gets better during Big 12 play.
DD's travel team is meeting the OU team before the game this Sat. Will have to see if I can persuade
Jocelyn to take some BP with my daughter and I at the field across the street from Marita hynes which we hit at :p

Hard to tell from that angle but to me it looks like the same swing. Bottom up type.

Edit: I want to clarifying something.... when I say bottom up swing I am referring to driving the hips first type swing even though the hips or considered the bottom of the upper.

Seems like she is simply getting her body into position to launch. An athletic move that aint for everyone.

She has a swing where she can time up the pitch and square it up with power. May not be picture perfect but with her skill set, it works well. Reminds me of of the big kids that dominate in Little League and people say "that swing won't translate to the big field". With her, she is already on the "big" field, and it's working.

Pattar,

Do you have any insight on her recruiting? I read that OU stated that she was a late pick up for them. Since OU typically verbals young ladies at birth that could mean her Sophomore year for them. I am just curious about her story since it stated that she played for arguably the top TB team/org in the country, I find it crazy that a player like her would have gone unnoticed very long.

I read that too. I want to say she may have verballed with a Northwest team (Oregon?) and then changed her mind? Kids from Hawaii tend to go to schools on the west coast/northwest it seems so maybe she went with the flow and then changed her mind at the last second?

Oh yeah terrible swing! I guess she should've been trained by some of the "coaches" in this hitting chatroom

I guarantee I could coach out some of that athleticism and have her hitting ground balls to second base in no time at all.
