IMO I can bend laterally and still mess it up. I don't think "side bend" can be a gear........

The spine gets bent. It is not the action maker.

FFS is favoring a waist separation model.

Lateral side bend = Lateral Tilt.

Here TM acknowledges that lateral tilt is the top gear in the two-wheel model being used.

LOL ... the initial axis of rotation is the rear lower back, not the forearms.

Which is waist separation. The rear lower back is above the hip. The rear forearm, not the forearms is the axis for the bat.

Lateral tilt is not the same as lateral side bend. One is a move that takes place in the hip socket, and one takes place with the core....

    I don't understand the question.

I don't believe you need to teach those shoulders to rotate like that!

What FFS says is what has been demonstrated for years. It is how it has been taught for years. The demonstration TM shows is nothing new.
My opinions here are simply that, My Opinions. I'm an ex expert. I no longer care to have to be right.

The topic is that FFS is promoting a rear lower back axis point for the swing. He is also advocating an action of spinal bend. Both are waist separation.
