New coach is looking to help her and one area he said is to sync the upper and lower body.

What does sync mean? Turn the upper and lower at the same time, or turn them in the proper sequence?

Also what slugger3 said - her front foot really looks likes it’s stopping the hip rotation too soon. Back foot looks like it’s acting differently also - it comes up, but doesn’t really roll up into the toe -like the back knee isn’t turning in all the way.

As I think YoCoach mentioned - this could all be a sign of things being out of sequence. Less of a technical fix, more of a timing fix?

The front foot is fine. If you guys are saying a closed front foot restricts rotation, then I disagree. If your saying the front foot should open as part of the follow through or rolled up on the side of the foot through contact and follow through, then I agree.

The barrel path is down and around the front leg. Watch the knob of the bat

Now watch the knob in this clip

And this clip (btw we have been doing a lot of wicked high tee work to help train the barrel turn and tilt at the hip - the goal is to hit it just like she is in this clip)

Not saying the swings I posted are perfect or a finished product. These hitters worked hard to get to this point where they are turning the barrel instead of pushing forward. This action starts to organize around the rear leg. It makes more sense to the body.

The hands while turning the barrel immediately set the swing plane. It's a blended move.

You can practice this by placing the barrel against the back of the neck and focus on snapping it away from neck immediately.
