What's your DDs height/weight?
Lift weights?
How big is the bat?
Her upper body looks like it's really swinging backward like a pendulum when the bat is swinging outward.

I know she throws herself back. I have been told that the issue is the lack of mobility in her hip & ankle. So when the areas reach their limits the only thing her body can do is push back. Which seems to be worse on inside pitches probably because she needs to rotate more. I do not know if you were trying to question her strength or not but that is one thing that I can guarantee isn’t a problem.

She does well in the other zones but the low & inside eat her up.

Right Here For Now
The two things I immediately noticed is she's off-balance. Yes she's getting her weight through the ball but she's swinging so hard that her back leg finishes WAY out from its starting point. She needs to be balanced. Secondly, she's opening her front shoulder too early to hit this pitch. She needs a little more body tilt and stay in longer with the front shoulder. The cue I use with my DD is "stay Long." It works almost every time to help keeping her shoulder in a tad longer.

Looks like an "around" swing due to her rear leg/hip turning on a path closer to the plate. If she can get that rear knee/hip to turn without moving closer to the plate then her lower half will be allowing her upper half to attack the ball more from the "inside"...yes, even for an inside pitch...so the barrel will be targeted on the ball path for longer.

Tilt at the rear hip joint - she is a rotator. Good athletes can get away with it. The tilt allows the rear elbow to clear allowing the barrel to reach all locations. It allows you to be a ferris wheel as opposed to a merry go round.

Unfortunately, it is not something easily seen. It is definitely a feel. You can't focus on the belt line. That is too high up.

Trouble with low & inside

Tell me if you all see the same pattern in this clip..... I see a big difference..... I am looking for a reason that she pushes on that particular location..... I do like the thoughts so far and please keep them coming. I have started working with her on trying to get the hands forward sooner IOW. I feel like she tilts towards the catcher THEN starts to rotate instead of one move it is more like two moves.

And what Indie said...

In my opinion, her back foot is about 4" to far off the plate. And she's starting with a closed stance.
Her size is deceiving. She is way bigger than she looks.
When her left foot is landing she is pushing back with so much force with it, it looks like everything is collapsing as bit.
Her left elbow also looks a little extended and flat. It almost looks as if her left elbow is doing very little to pull the bat through since it's collapsed.
So maybe she is pushing back so violently with her left foot to make room for her hands a bat to hit the ball?...
2 of my 3 DDs are big like your DD.
And they are very muscular and "stiff limbed" so to speak.
It's easier for me to teach them to start with an opened stance and stay open on an inside pitch. And when they get an outside pitch they step into it...kinda like your DD is doing with this INSIDE pitch. My oldest DD would get her hands hit by the ball if she stood with a closed stance.

I'm no batting guru... but here's what I would tell my DDs if they were doing this.
Bring the right foot in a little and the left foot out, so there is a 2-4" stagger with an open stance. (basically reverse their current distance off of the plate. My youngest DD stands like Lexie Elkins in the box sometimes...full, stand up straight, open stance...she's getting better at it too
My DDs get jammed so much because of their size, so this works to their advantage....it may not work for yours, but it might.

Can your DD adapt quickly to changes in stance?

This is only advise, and not the batting gospel here fellas...

Thanks for the suggestions Slugger..... she adapts to pretty much anything quickly... She was doing the open stance thing for while but changed back to square. You probably can’t tell but the pitch in that video is pretty far inside but I want her to be able to stay inside of that pitch even though she would probably wouldn’t attempt a swing during a game. She has been really good with anything middle to away and just need to add the inner, inner part of the plate to her coverage even though she rarely gets thrown anything inside.
