Thanks to everyone for all the feedback. We will continue working on walking away from the hands. I really like the idea of implementing the feel of the stretch without swinging first, so I think we will start there. She will not like that knob to knee drill with the extreme leg and arm movements. Her hitting confidence comes from her extremely good timing. We tried to add a load the summer before last and all the movement really threw off her timing and confidence. Her results were not up to her expectations as she spent a couple months chopping down on the ball because she would never get her hands back to a proper launch position. That's why in her current stance she starts with her hands back at the furthest point. Once we moved the starting position of her hands back about a year ago it leveled out her swing and she got her timing and confidence back. She has been red hot this fall/winter at the plate so I am reluctant to tinker too much too fast, but I know she hasn't reached her full potential with the swing. How much do you tinker with a swing when she has been hitting really well? She has indoor games this weekend and next to end our winter season, then we have about 6 weeks to work on this before we get outdoors and play so much there's no time for big changes.

DD's arms plunge downward.

Learn to turn the barrel using the forearms. When you learn to turn the barrel correctly with the forearms things will begin to fall into place

Adduction of the rear humerus + Supination of the rear forearm......

I don't think walking away from the hands will necessarily fix anything. There are many high level swings where players do not walk away from their hands. It's not an absolute.....
