The feeling must be placed entirely in the hands/wrists/forearms. I will admit that all I think about is my hands and instruct that way. I don't distinguish between hands/wrists/forearms. The barrel must be turned with the hands around the rear forearm. Your daughter is still turning the barrel with her torso/shoulders and the barrel gets turned forward instead of rearwards. The feeling should be turning the barrel down and behind to get the rearward (12 to 6) path

Looking at this clip let's agree the barrel tip starts at 12:00 roughly. The hands turn/snap the barrel down the clock face towards 6:00. If the pitch was extremely low her barrel might reach 6:00, But since the pitch is higher her rear leg turns barrel into the ball. The feeling of snapping the barrel straight down the clock face must be acquired and to do that you have to stop using the torso to swing.

Something Rich wrote in the past rings very true with your daughter

Until you get the hands right......you will have a body swing.....a spinal axis.

The notion that the bat is swung 'around' the body.....or.....in the rotational path of torso....or....the rotational path of the shoulders.....is dead wrong. No matter how much they whine and complain when you tell them that.

The bat is swung about the hands/forearms......and the body assists.

Wanted to also point out how much the barrel has been turned before the front leg is bearing any significant weight. In the clip below the last frame is when the front leg is weighted.

Her rear leg is turning forward. It grabs everything above (torso/shoulders) up to the hands that are aggressively snapping/turning the barrel rearwards. This is what brings the barrel forward. Everything above her rear leg is try stay back.

Is this the “flamingo” drill?

Also, re: the gif used as an example - to me it appears her foot hits, THEN she launches. But your preference is for the launch to happen earlier. Am I interpreting this right, or am I misreading what’s happening in the gif?
