Do you think there is a active deceleration of the shoulder/lead arm into extension in this swing?
Do you think that's what helped her get the barrel through on a 66mph rise from Barnhill? A sweet swing on a tough pitch is what originally caught my attention.

She had to decelerate. Her swing is momentum based. Her body is turning the barrel.

How about this swing as a comp?

The reason I mentioned if there was an active deceleration is because I once heard a long drive champion say he tries to crack the whip (he demonstrated the crack of the whip). To crack the whip there has to be a deceleration to increase acceleration.

So a better question to ask is she cracking the whip in the swing?

Does the shoulder rotation stall (as labeled in the Williams gif) align with the “out from” portion of the swing?
