She has excellent body actions. To get her to use her hands better/tighten hand pivot point/get more 12/6 in swing have her play around with her top hand in her setup....right now the top of her fist is pointing at the pitcher in set up and her top wrist is largely unbent/un-laid-back. Vrooom her grip so that more of her palm shows to the pitcher while keeping her current elbow position. (In other words, dorsiflex her top hand wrist). Right now her top hand is too "strong." What I proscribed should help her work toward a pivot point that is tighter around her hands, get more 12/6 and get her barrel deeper.

Thx RichK. Had her turn her wrist in and the swing seems deeper. Let me know what you guys think ...

Thx,

Sorry, barrel path should be a little more vertical as a clock face going from 12 - 6. These swing are more like 3 - 9. The difference being your daughter's swing is around the front leg and the hitter I posted is around the rear leg. The hand action must be that of swiveling the barrel and not pulling/pushing the handle. Hope that makes sense and that you understand that I am not criticizing just offering advice. She can obviously rake.

Here are a couple of others with a 12-6 barrel path

Hands need to turn the barrel and not be 'tied' to the rotation of the shoulders. Again JMHO.

Move the tee back so that it is even with her front knee (or in that area). Even deeper if you really want to challenge her. Then ask her to hit line drives over the pitchers head.

Yep, right now it's shift THEN swing. Should be turning the barrel when/instead of/ when the 'push' begins.

Excellent observation. Aaron Judge slumped when he lost the feeling of staying coiled. It made him long and slow or he had to cheat and start early. Either way he was exposed.

WRT to this hitter - losing her coil is causing her to find a new power source and that would be jumping to front leg and swinging - as Bass said - shift then swing.

Aaron Judge lost it when he realized (as well as pitchers) his pattern wouldn't allow for him to hit pitches up and in.. His patten lacked adjustability. The body whips the barrel not the rear leg/hands in the high level swing.
