No. I think your seeing her body going forward . Her hands are getting on plane with the pitch . Turn the barrel at go. Running start . I wish I could post a gif .

I will admit she doesn't conventionally 'float ' her hands .

https://youtu.be/icO35ob8BbA. Her hands don't stay back .

Draw a straight line between her hands and rear hip before she starts her swing. Does that line get longer during her stride, before she launches? Like rdbass said she is not getting
much separation. Somebody have that Bonds gif handy with the line drawn(I need to save the dang thing..)? The young lady you posted (LSU looked like) does develop some separation
during her stride out.

I thought we wanted separation(stretch) from your front foot and hands. Not your back hip. Abduction of the rear hip.
Coil forward with abduction of the rear hip. Hopefully explained that clearly ...

You want to develop stretch/tension in your core. Stand up, hold a bat in your hands, don't move your hands and just reach with your font foot while trying to keep your back hip from moving forward. Do you
feel any stretch/tension develop in your core?
In this Chamberlain does't stride at all but is achieving separation.

Abduction from your midline. You don't keep your hip back. You take your body away from your hip/back side/hands. That's separation. The core reacts when you separate your lower body first. Kinetic chain. The core needs to be activated. It's reactive . The hands stay back in space to help the core stretch/separation but the lower half makes it so the core has separation. IMO. That's why you see pros with big forward moves. They want that power. The hands can stay back and turn , move a tad forward with the body . As long as they are doing their primary job first . Getting on plane .

I'm not saying the hands don't need to stay back. I'm saying glued to certain spot in space is not an absolute. I can show you tons of links where the hands don't stay back in space but in relation to the upper body they do. Basically the bigger forward move you have the less your hands stay in the same place. IMO. Hopefully I explained it right. Lol.

Both. The separation between front foot and hands during the stride is largely about the movements being in the correct sequence. The stretch between hip and hands is about creating resistance/tension so hands are being pulled by the hip. A link in the chain.

I can think of 3 things as being called separation. As you mentioned the hands and stride, the hands and hip, and the hips and shoulders. So it can get confusing when separation is mentioned.

Not here.
I want the RED line stretch not the yellow line stretch.

I agree with rdbass. But, if you have good red line stretch, you will typically have good yellow line stretch. The problem occurs when a hitter has yellow line stretch without red line stretch.
