Inside pitch Tee work.
We have been working on keeping her hands inside the ball. She struggles hitting the inside pitch. She can't seem to keep the ball off her hands.
Please take a look at the short video and let me know if we are headed in the right direction.

Thanks in advance for your help.

While I understand what you are trying to do here and teach my guess is if I stood back at 20ft and tossed pitches to her there is zero chance she actual swings like that, i know it's a drill to focus on a specific thing and not meant to replicate a pitched ball but if this is what her actually swing at a pitched ball is really like, keeping her hands inside the ball on an inside pitch is not where I would start with instruction.

I say that because I don't want to give lots of advice if that is not how she really swings.

Just an observation but with a pitch inside like that I would think you would need to move the net. I know for myself I would need to. The fact that you don't have to, and she is basically inside out on all of them, may point
to some of the problems she is having with the inside pitch when the ball is moving. I also sympathize with you with respect to trying to hit with an older one when the younger one is trying to get your attention :p

That's pretty much her swing. Please feel free to give advice. We both have listening ears. Thanks.

I moved the net to keep her from swinging around the ball. I am trying to get her to finish out. I am also a 4 year rookie lol, meaning we could be fighting a battle with an empty gun.
Please feel free to give feedback good or bad both are appreciated. Thanks.

The first thing I noticed is how far she appears to be hunched over or leaning over the plate, while it is poor mechanics in general it is going to really make it hard to hit an inside pitch.

The next thing is how little separation she gets; her hands are basically even with her back shoulder you might think it is better because she won't have a big looping swing that would be harder to hit inside pitch but proper mechanics are proper mechanics it will actually help her get on a better path to the ball to have proper separation.

Two keys I might try are better front shoulder turn she barely has any that might get her hands back and standing up straighter. As always still of your DD versus model so you can see the difference for yourself, all pics at heel plant.

I can see what you are talking about. She is hunched over and leaning over the plate. I also get what your saying about the lean making it harder to hit an inside pitch. Makes sense.

In regard to the lack of separation issue. Funny thing, we've been working on that for awhile. Apparently not hard enough. I will show her the comparison photos

Appreciate the input.

As far as the hunch over the plate, you tilt at hip joint, tilt the pelvis, you don't bend the back (you might arch the lower back a little).
