This is nonsense. Hitting is a violent action. Muscles better be contracted to swing in sequence. Otherwise your weight shifts across.

Yep, the sequence of movements is the same for every violent action..

Gary Ward players Pete I. with 46 home runs and Robin V. was consider by many as the greatest college hitter ever, what happens if MLB just lets them hit? Everyone talks about they had to change wasn't as good. Maybe they should have been left alone.

There are some good side views of Incaviglia here. It's been some time since I've really examined video, but this doesn't strike me as a high-level swing.

Looks different than what we call elite. He was college baseball player of the century. Fastpitch doesn't use wood.

It does look different.....And he hit .246 for his career in the bigs.....Why put a ceiling on your players by teaching them sub par mechanics?

There is a release move that allows for the hitters COM to lower. I call it falling into the legs while the upper half is resisting..This allows for the scap to load as part of the swing.

It's not a release. In Williams/Bonds clips the hands are going back to arrest the forward move of the rear leg which leads to a contraction of muscles on the rear edge of your torso from your scap to your hip. This is the timing you are looking for. To get to that place in time where your hands are connected to the rear hip when you launch. The rear side opens the front side. The front leg reacts to the action of the rear leg and back.

Kinsler and Cruz are guys that connect early.

Will Clark rode the rear leg and pulled back.

Didn't say I would teach his mechanics but be fair. Ward always talked about yanking Pete out of BP and making him go work on his mechanics. Pete was changed immediately in the pros. Who ever changed him had him hitting whatever he hit IMO. Maybe he would have hit better not changing or not. That is the question.

He also averaged 161 SO and 26 HR per 162 games. His college K numbers are much better but HL pitching will expose flaws. Looking at his MLB swing it doesn't look that much different than his college swing
