DD has not been hitting the ball well lately, mostly ground balls to the left side. Here is a clip of an at bat last weekend, not the greatest angle but hopefully enough to give advice. Thank you

There is no extension to the zone which is called the hitting zone and her weight is going down-and the balls always gonna go down need to be taller through the hitting zone an extended arms away from her .The right arm need to be away from my body a little bit so she can get a longer extension at the ball and out not down .

How old is your daughter? Swing not bad. Chest and belly button is ahead of her bat. Which will not allow her to drive the ball and it becomes more of an arm swing. Also, hard to keep your head on the ball. Has she grown? If so, arms are longer and probably standing at,the same distance from the plate and must spin to hit the ball. Looks like she is squeezing the bat with top hand pretty hard. IMO, triangle and hips aren't in sequence with her chest (behind the ball). Chest behind the ball and it may correct the sequence without getting to deep.

Thanks Tango, she just turned 13 last month. She has grown about 3-4 inches in the past 6 months. Can you recommend any drills that would help? I'm not so technical with hitting terminology. She also seems to be early a lot, maybe a result of how she's swinging? Not sure. Thanks again

Ok here a drill have two tee put one in front of the other about 5ft in front of the tee at the plate .put the tee on the outside of the plate and make her stand back far Enough that she think she reaching for the ball . then try to hit the ball at the plate ANd make her try to knock the ball off the tee in front of her on the other tee with the ball she hit from home plate . That will get her some extension So she can hit the ball out instead of down .

Thanks, I understand the extension problem but not the going down part. We will try that drill you suggested this week.

look at her right leg to see if her leg is at 90 degree or more straight or tall threw hitting . also watch her waist or belly button to see if it go forward or down

Be carefully
. I would like to see a side view swing first, before making any suggestions but, that's me. I'm not trying to sell anything. If this was an inside pitch(looks to be towards the outside) would the extension be out towards the pitcher. I think not. If I thought my DD's bat wasn't getting to full extension/finishing her swing I would be looking upstream. Almost looks like 'bat drag' to me but, again from this angle hard to say for sure.
Another thing a hitter doesn't want to get 'taller'. A hitter wantS their COM/COG to lower on most pitches.
