Nice release and change of barrel direction.
Please explain how it happens without using your forearms.

Barrel turn from a non tipped setup. Pay attention to rear leg
If the forearms puts your hitters in a balanced sequence no debate here.. I tend to view it as a whole body movement to support the feel of the barrels change in direction.
I think everyone would agree the whole body is involved in the entire process....I talk about the rear hip and forearms a lot in my posts bc I think if you get the actions in those two areas right a lot of good happens.....
Comes down to the particular individual.
Give someone a goal, and sometimes their body moves appropriately to accomplish the given goal ..... then there are those whose body is not recruited in the same manner to accomplish the stated goal.
It takes a bit of work to help someone that recruits their body sub-optimally to accomplish a given goal. They need to learn a different movement pattern. Depending on their sense of body awareness that can be a cake walk, or a significant challenge.
So while "crank the forearms" may work for some ... it will not work for everybody.
