This video shows what I'm asking. The clip at full speed that Buttermaker posted looks like there is more arcing, However slowed down as in the clip posted by 5frames, shows that the barrel has yet to start to really arc. The back elbow is down and the hands are still cocked and now getting ready to start to release the barrel.
I might be comparing apples to oranges, but I just wanted to talk more about the subject.
I know the clip by Buttermaker goes farther forward in the sequence (the back being down). The hands (forearms) are starting to turn the barrel.
