Chehalis, Wa
Bonds "loading" is different. So the knob stays back longer. He starts low/in and moves the knob up and back. He has a really good change of direction.

Yes, that change of direction is caused by one all in move of the forearms. He doesn't need to flatten and then go. He is on plane even before he uses the forearms because he knew how to use the forearms. Cabrera same thing. Judge is same thing. And because of this they can swing one legged.

Donaldson as a comp needs to get on plane with his arms.

This is one legged. The rest are a reach at best..

Yes, Bonds has a great change in direction of the barrel synced with the core.. Most miss this and use the arms to create the change in direction.

You are correct most do use their arms. Bonds, Cabrera, Judge use their forearms and leave the arms out of it.

Manny keeps his weight back as he strides out and swivels the forearms to turn the barrel behind the rear leg.

Seems rather simple.

like this ?

What happens when the pull backs runs out of range of motion to counter the momentum? Manny's move doesn't have the same dependencies. Manny falls into both legs without compromising the rear leg/hip relationship vs riding the rear leg.

Rich's movement pattern works just watch ULL, but to make claims that Bonds, Manny, Cabrera are doing the same thing sounds like Rich is here..

LOL why don't take the thread over and explain how the barrel gets turned not using your forearms. It was fun to think it gets turned due to change of direction via the core (and the core is definitely involved) but if you don't use your forearms correctly you are just spittin in the wind.
