I read an article by Jerry brewer that there are two types of height adjustment one are hip hingers and the others are spine side benders. Both is present in Mlb so both can work at a high level.

The side benders have a relatively level hip turn (merry go round) and a more vertical shoulder turn depending on how high the pitch is. If you are a hip hingeŕ (spine angle change ) the spine movement is less complicated but of course since the hips are also rotating perpendicular to the spine like the shoulders it means that the hips also have to turn more like a ferris wheel and the rear hip turns under the front hip. Cabrera for example is more of a hip hinger and on low pitches his belt tends to be tilted more

So if you have a hip hinger do you teach that hip tilt to get a better turn while keeping the spine angle? Or is that a non teach?
