I only wasted 10 mins.

Not the absolute worst advice ever, kinda letting people know it's not ALL rotation or ALL linear which is a good thing.

Maybe it got better but was not going to hang on for another 20 mins though my lunchtime at work is too short

Not here.
How is he having success?
I don't know...how successful is he. I didn't see any pros that he trained in the videos. What 'problem' is he eliminating and what do you like about his teachings. I'll start....It seems he doesn't understand separation and has separation confused with casting. He thinks separation is when the hands moves out from the body. It also seems he's big on thinking the hands are 'along for the ride'. His 'system' seems to promote a push swing. That's just a few 'problems' that jumped out at me.
But, if his teaching is something you agree with don't let my opinion stop you from taking advice from him. It's JMHO as dad and not a hitting coach.

I agree with rdbass. Seems like "hands along for the ride" and a "push swing". No separation or barrel whip. To be fair, I hopped through the video pretty quickly and only watched 5 to 6 minutes total. This all said, there are many theories of hitting out there. Some work better than others. It's up to you to decide what theory you like best. Read, listen, swing a bat, and reconcile for yourself. Personally, I am not interested in this particular video.

Thoughts? George Brett's hitting coach...

If you have some time to kill, check out this video.

I've been checking out this guy for a week now. I would love to discuss some of his beliefs.

Terminology is different than is commonly used here at DFP et al, but if the understanding of mechanics is there then that's simply a matter of semantics. After watching about 12 minutes of the video, I bailed as his demos and descriptions of swing mechanics and characteristics didn't give me the impression that he understood the high-level swing. YMMV

We've definitely seen worse.... he seems to be trying to reinvent the wheel in how he explains the swing. Some of what he said was valid, while other stuff was too far off for me. Keep it simple.... he's over complicating it to sell the "system"
