Lots a typical stuff. Read through some of the hitting threads first. Biggest things are probably huge stride seems to be causing weight shift (too far forward), seems to hold her hands back OK but looks like bottom half starts releasing early. Can't tell from angle but looks like she is stepping "in the bucket" not straight towards pitcher. Her foot is off the ground about half way through her swing sometimes its OK to briefly lose contact with back foot and have it slide forward a bit but that would much later in the swing. There is more but those jumped out at me
ok where to start from the ground her lead foot takes way to long and is way to high to be a effective hitter. it can be that long but as she moves up it will be a big hindrance to her. short low to the ground lead foot gets on the ground faster and makes those fast pitches a little easier to keep up with. 2 her elbow is leading her hands never good for a hitter. more to come need to go back a watch the vid again.
She is very athletic, please don't mess with Her lower body...
Work on the timing of Her barrel load. Right now She loads the barrel too early, out of sequence.
She's an active hitter and that's awesome, just give Her a new focus with the hands and barrel while her lower body is working.
Tell her to lower her hands/the barrel while Her lower body is working open. check out what Ty Cobb does with His hands/barrel while his lower body is working forward and open.
His barrel tip stays UP(works UP) as the lower body works forward and open. Good luck TJ
tjintx...no sure what you are seeing but telling someone who has their back foot off the ground half way through the swing and has too much forward momentum at heel plant not to work on lower half is not addressing the a big problem. She does have a little bat wrap that needs work but the swing itself need a little work but I don't think as much as the lower half.
I'm open to others inputs but right now if you look at her head in the frame of the little window behind her it travel from the back to the front of that opening, as a reference you will see most hitters head travel very little forward probably if you marked the front of their helmet at start then again at contact it might have moved to the back of the helmet.
